Tokyo Metro announced that they will operate all night from December 31, 2020 (Thursday) New Year’s Eve to January 1, 2021 (Friday) New Year’s Day.
For this year’s overnight operation, the number of the Ginza Line and Marunouchi Line will be reduced compared to the average year. In addition, Tokyu Railway will not operate all night this year, so overnight trains on the Hanzomon Line and Fukutoshin Line will not operate directly to the Tokyu Lines.
On New Year’s Day, the limited express “Metro New Year” departing from Kitasenju Station on the Chiyoda Line and bound for Katase-Enoshima on the Odakyu Enoshima Line will be operated. You will arrive at Katase-Enoshima Station at 5:32 and you can see the “first sunrise” from Enoshima. Limited express tickets will be on sale from December 1st (Tuesday) at each station on the Odakyu Line, online reservation syttems “e-Romancecar” and “Romancecar @ Club”.
In addition, Tokyo Metro has announced that “the overnight operation may be suspended due to the spread of COVID-19 in the future.”
From December 30, 2020 (Wednesday) to January 3, 2021 (Sunday), all Tokyo Metro lines will operate based on the timetable for Saturdays and holidays.
